Documentary Filmmaker Steve Yu Inspires Millions with Viral Video. A video that recently went viral on YouTube highlighted a disabled Army veteran who was told he would never walk again… apparently millions of people were inspired by it, and the filmmaker Steve Yu, is here to talk about that experience as well as the bigger project he’s been working on for over 6 years… a film that tries to discover the secret behind getting into fantastic shape.

Steve Yu first became intrigued by the way people are inspired to embark on a fitness or weight loss journey after he and his wife first did it in 2004. He wanted to try and understand why weight loss is such a prominent issue in our society, and still the struggle continues and Americans continue to get fatter. In 2006 he left his corporate job at IBM to embark upon a 6-year journey to discover what inspires people to change, and what determines success or failure in weight loss. Since then, he’s interviewed dozens of individuals along their journeys to lose weight and transform their lives through health and fitness.

Steve is a Cornell University graduate (Economics), who has dedicated his life to trying to make a difference in other’s lives, and hope’s his film, INSPIRED: The Movie, will do just that. Watch the videos and donate to the cause at his Kickstarter page (www.inspiredthemovie.com).
